Katie has been in the hospitality industry since I was 14 by participating in catering, culinary school, being a pastry chef, and more. She now attends University of Nevada, Las Vegas for Hospitality in the Honor’s College. She has competed on UNLV’s solar decathlon team for environmentally friendly cooking where she created dishes in order to make people think about sustainability. She has also opened up an Eco-friendly and student-run coffee shop at UNLV called Rebel Grounds, where all of the money raised goes towards scholarships. She currently works at RENUoil of America, Inc. ™ where she is able to make a difference for the environment and community everyday by helping improve waste diversion programs on the strip, organizing donations to local charities, and inspiring others about sustainability through our community outreach programs.
